Elephants vs Mice

Yo Blog-Homies ;D
(^for lack of a better greeting..)

Many great minds get their greatest ideas and epiphanies while in the shower, but how is one supposed to concentrate on pondering the meaning of life and the nature of the universe when there is a spider above them?!

I. Do. Not. Really. Like. Spiders. Very. Much. At. All.

Fact of the matter is that spiders are creepy. Super creepy. Like, Spiderman is awesome and badass, but spiders are just ... spiders.
And when I see a spider, I faint.

Just kidding, I don't faint (fun fact: I've only fainted once, and that was during grade 3 choir practise...it's a long story) but I do have a tendency to start making noises that - for some bizarre reason - I think will make it leave me alone. Such noises include: growling, hissing and snarling.
Because, all logic says that the more insane noises you make, the more likely it is that the spider will leave you alone. Right?

But what kind of poor creature deserves enduring 15 minutes of my random noises directed at it? Not even spiders, in all their creepiness, should have to have that kind of torture thrust upon them.
I must look pretty ridiculous too.

On another note, I had the most random dream last night - I can't even describe how weird it was! (But I'm going to try anyway ;D hehe)

So I can't remember exactly what happened in the beginning of the dream (except that I was walking through a market and I bought some herbs) but the part I remember the most is that I was just outside school by the lake. My school has a lake next to it which is pretty awesome.
And I have some amazingly talented friends -- who can ride bikes -- and they were in my dreams. They were all being fancy and riding around doing cool stuff, and they all knew I SUCK at riding bikes, so they managed to find a Segway-type vehicle and wanted me to try it. So I did. And I rocked.

Anyway, I was riding around being crazy and awesome on this Segway-thing, when I accidently leant too far forward and fell off it. I fell to the ground in slow-motion (not as awesomely as Neo) and as I made contact with the ground, I turned into a pink fluffy cartoon chicken. I kid you not ---> I WAS A CHICKEN!

I looked a little something like this (epic computer drawing skills):

I think it looks like a chicken hybrid of Pinky from Pacman ...

But then everyone was like, "Dee, why are you a chicken?"

Then I woke up.

If dreams are meant to be our sub-conscience telling us something, then I'm a bit worried ... Maybe I should stop eating worms? :P

Anyway, that's all from me for now. Exam week next week so I gotta cram haha.

Peace out!

Animals are cool too...

Bok my fellow bloggers or internet lovers!
(Bok means "hi", and no, I'm not fluent in chicken)

A few weeks ago I went this leadership seminar which was an amazing experience! I got to meet people from so many different schools and we mingled and exchanged phone numbers and hair products.
(I'm joking about the last two)

But the highlight of the night was the dinner.
Oh my goodness and what a dinner it was!

We got to eat in the host school's dining hall (BECAUSE IT HAS A DINING HALL WHICH IS ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!) and we sat in these long narrow tables. Dinner conversation was pre-determined by the hosts: "What opportunities do you have as a leader of your school?", "What legacy will you leave behind?", "'Leadership is fun' - debate." etc etc.
So the people at my table briefly discussed this and then we just started talking about our plans for the future, the subjects we're going, what things we're looking forward to after college.

But being me, I thought we'd talked about everything to do with school and the future, so I decided to break into my stash of "small talk" conversation starters.

"What is your favourite animal?" was my chosen question.

Of course, this had 150% relevance to everything we had been learning about and discussing over the previous 3 hours ... So I guess it's no surprise that I was answered with shocked looks and wide eyes.

The bulk of the conversation went as follows [key = i am the green text]:
"What?!"
"What's your favourite animal?"
"That's the most random question I've ever been asked!"
"I know, I know, just answer it."
"Umm...... Umm....... Jeez I don't know..."
"Just pick an animal that you like."
"But it's not something I just think about all the time, you have to give me a while to think...."

I don't know about everyone else, but I often find myself thinking about my favourite animals. Is that too weird?

Anyway, some of the answers I got from my question were: chickens and whales.
Cool.

Oh, and by the way, it's probably not the best idea to tell your physics teacher that the reason why you're wearing a batman jumper is because you might need to call him to rescue you from her class. Oops.
